THE PRESERVED RAILWAY LINE


One of the greatest attractions in Bryrup is the old steam train. It is running on a preserved stretch of the closed Horsens-Bryrup-Silkeborg line i.e. from Bryrup to Vrads - a beautiful trip of 5 km, where uou pass the lakes Kvindsų, Kulsų and Snabe Igelsų. It is the shortest journey by train in Denmark - but definitely the most scenically.The old station building in Vrads has been turned into a restaurant where you may enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee in the quiet surroundings.


The train runs from Palm Sunday - 30th September.In December there is a special Christmas event.
